Shawnee has 3 different 9s, so after playing the white and the blue course for 18, we were finishing up the last 9 of the red course. Fighting daylight we pulled up to the 8th hole, a straight 150 yard par 3. We were told to be in by 8pm, and right at 8pm we tee’d off, a perfect 9 iron and the best swing of the day, tracking the flag it was a one hop and a roll in. We weren’t sure if it went in, so we ran up to the green and it was in the cup (Titleist ball of course), all 3 of our groups went absolutely ballistic. It kills a lot of that bounce and gives you more direct feedback. I've not been able to locate the backing plate so my 7 iron is left looking a state. First of all I think it's crazy that irons are falling apart after 1.5 years, especially at the price tag Titleist put on their clubs. Second, one quick google and it appear this backing plate has been problematic for Titleist for the t200 and t350 models. I've tried contacting support a couple of times and I've heard nothing back, this is very disappointing because you're unable to buy a replacement backing plate anywhere. Really my options are, buy a whole replacement 7 iron and pray none of the other backing plates fall off and get lost, or buy new irons and get a low trade in on mine. We are very fortunate to have our own holiday villa in Costa Navarino, Greece; fast becoming one of the most celebrated golf resorts in the world. We have four exceptional golf courses to choose from. The Bay course is an exquisite coastal experience caressed by the Ionian sea set to the backdrop of the Messinian and Taygetos mountains. It is a delightful experience to play this course as regularly as I am able which I never take for granted. Whilst I would always place Banff Springs in British Columbia as the most beautiful golf course in the world that I have ever played, the Bay at Costa Navarino comes a very close second! The course features six par 3's. One of which is the eighth hole, a very short, tricky flight requirement that drops from tee to pin across around 100 yards with a drop of about 80 yards! Miraculously , and in my case it truly is a miracle, I hit a 56 degree wedge to the high heavens on 14th May and as the Gods would have it, they returned it to me gilded with a single bounce to the right of the hole and straight in at a speed that I never thought would be possible. I was delighted to have one of my dearest friends David stay over at our villa for a week of golf and he was playing the round with me. We both stared at each other for a millisecond before jumping up and down like play-date toddlers. An experience I will never forget! I played a Titleist Pro V1; not only the "number one ball in golf" but on this particular occasion "the number one, hole in one ball in golf". The course management team very kindly sent me a certificate and the flag from the pin to commemorate the event. I would be delighted and honoured to display an official Titleist Hole In One Golf Tag on my bag to also acknowledge this special moment. Sadly, this charming gift is only available to be dispatched within USA postal districts. The next time I visit I'll see if it may be dispatched to the hotel where I'm staying.
