My favorite memory was when I broke 70 for the first time. I shot 1 under on the front and 2 under on the back. I made my first eagle during the round as well.
I guess it would be playing golf all summer long with my son who is 16. Teaching him to play the game and spending time with him. Golf allows folks to build strong relationships and forces folks to become better in all aspects of life.
As a superintendent, preparing the Stanford Golf Course for the final PAC 10 Championship and watching my son's high school golf teammate (Martin Trainer-USC) win the event in a 7 hole playoff!
For me it was the first time I shot under par. That day i switched to the prov1x from the prov1 and finished -3 66 and never when back. I went onto shot par or better 8 more times.
I played in a wacky tournament with my wife at our club. You hit off the tee with oven mitts on, kids club, opposite handed, off a toilet, blindfolded, etc... It was a lot of fun and a good mixer!
That would be my first Hole in One on 7/10/11.
I shot my career low round, 73 this year. (With AP2's and ProV1's of course!)
My favorite moment of 2011 was watching Rory come back from a devasting collapse at Augusta to take his first major. So much talent in that kid. Congrats Rory!!!
