  1. I have been driving the ball decently, but am always looking for more control. I have a full length driver shaft right now and see so many tips about cutting it down. I have plenty of distance and my main concern is more center strikes and more fairways hit. Is it worth it to cut it down? If so how much should I get cut off?

The only right answer is "maybe"
That is something you should discuss with a fitter.
If you want to explore it yourself, I suggest buying a used shaft so you can always go back to the original if it doesn't work out. Everytime you cut it, it will change the swingweight and you'll need to regrip. You'll need a few headweights and extra grips.
In the long run, it's cheaper to find a good fitter with some pre-cut shafts you can try.
