So I currently have a 17* 909H (Aldila Proto VS 80-S) in the bag, and I just can't hit it well. It just turns over too easily and I hit too many hooks. I feel like I'm not a hybrid guy, more of a fairway wood guy as I love my 910F 15* (UST Mamiya Proforce V2 86-S). I was thinking of getting a 19* 910F with the V2 86-S I have in my 3 wood.

Has anyone else made the switch from a hybrid to a higher lofted fairway wood? I'm wondering what kind of ball flight and yardage I should expect. Obviously it's not possible to know how it will work for me, but I'm just looking for a bit of info.

I'm a +1.8 RCGA index, with a driver swing speed of about 110. I was fit for my 3 wood, so I'm probably just going to get the same shaft in my 5 wood. I hit my 3 wood about 275, and my 17* hybrid about 250. Thanks!

The only way to know for sure is to hit shots outdoors off grass, preferably using Pro V's and a launch montor.  Find a fitter that uses the Titleist fitting manual. The manual has the desired launch and spin for long game shots  -- hybrids, long irons, fairway metals ... That will tell you if the club is correct and the launch monitor will tell you if your gaps are correct between clubs

Master Steve is right on!  I would also expect the fall flight to be higher with more spin.  So it may not work depending upon what you find during the fitting.  Let us know what happens!
