I think from reviews there is a much bigger difference going from the 712 to the 714. Not as much going from the 714 to 716 so I would upgrade

I just upgraded from the 714 AP2 to the 716 AP1. Needed the improvement factor and distance. The WOW factor is there. Went the Titleist Thursday fitting, got the correct set up and am seeing great results. You need to check into the 716 AP1. Titleist R&D does an outstanding job and the improvement from 712 to 714 to 716 is worth the leap.

The best way to get your answer is to go to the Titleist Thursday fittings. Take the 712 & 714, and also ask to compare them to the 716. You'll get a trackman fitting and the opportunity to truly compare their performance. You may be surprised.

I just switched from the 712 Ap1 with Graphite Design shafts to 716 Ap2 with the Nippon Ns Pro 950gh shafts. Literally just came in from my first range session and all I keep saying to my nephew was "man I love these irons. The feel is night and day. I actually think I may have picked up a half a club or so in distance. But that feel!!! That's all I can say. I loved my Ap1 and didn't think I'd notice much of a difference, but was I ever wrong. But I agree with the earlier comment. Find a Titleist rep in your area and do a fitting. It's the only way to determine what's going to help you shoot lower scores.
