  1. Fellow TTers,

Looking at making a change in my long clubs soon and wanted some input from the community. I'm looking at replacing my current 19 degree hybrid with either an 18 degree 917 F or 816 H1 to fit the gap between my current 15 degree 3 wood and 21 degree 816 H1. I plan to go through a trial/fitting with my pro before I make the change, but just wanted to see what the community thought. Any input appreciated.

    Happy Holidays,

I am ordering the new 816h1 17*. My current set up is 917f 15*, 915h 17.25*, 816h1 20*, 5 iron.....the new 816 17* is replacing the 916h 17.25* (longer and tighter pattern, all based on a fitting last week. Black Rogue 85h stiff). Take your metal woods with you to the fitting and see how you numbers look on the trackman. I am specifically referring to the distances.
  3. Thanks for the input, Chuck! I too am leaning toward the 816 H1 pending the results of my fitting of course.

I have both a 5 wood / 18 degree and the 17 degree 816H1 hybrid. Bought the 5-wood then won the hybrid hit both pretty much the same distance. I suggest trying both if possible before deciding. I have found myself playing the hybrid more because I can control it a little better especially if I'm playing from the rough. Good luck either is a good choice
  5. Appreciate the input, Dwayne! Definitely planning to try both before I make my decision.
