Nippon Modus3 120 shafts

    Hey all, I need your opinions on these shafts!! I got tired of waiting for the project X lz 5.5 shafts after 2 months since my order!!

    So my fitter advised me to put in the Modus3 120 shafts, bad thing is it's a $15 per club up charge that they wouldn't waive!!

    I have read about these and they are very stiff tip with a soft middle and soft/firm butt!! I like the Nippon 1150 shafts which is use in my miz MP 64's which are stiff tip and butt and soft middle, that's why the project lz's would have been a perfect fit!!

    Are the modus 120's with the very stiff tip going to really lower the launch and spin, if so, they could result in loss of distance!!

    Please let me know your experiences with these shafts, my 6 iron swing is around 80mph due to a disintegrating L5 disc in my lower back!!

    Hey tom. I have these in my my ap2's 716's. a month of playing them so far. Love the feel!! looked at the LZ 5.5 but glad I went with Nippon or id be still waiting like you. I will tell you my distance hasn't changed at all. My 6 iron goes 185 same as my last set wth kbs tour 120 shafts.

    You just made my day Eric!! I love the Nippon 1150's I have now, I love the feel of a Nippon shaft!! Called my fitter to order me a modus 120 for my gap wedge and the modus wedge shafts for my sand and lob wedge!!
