Sounds like a good plan. I too have a local shop that I take my clubs to that does repair work. He is a certified Titleist account and does excellent work on clubs. He will be honest and let me know if he can do it without harming the clubs or not. I have a tendency to steer clear of brick and mortal retail stores. I want a golf specialist that has years of experience working on clubs. Just me, I guess. 2* is legit. I take mine in periodically to have them checked to see how off they are (lies and lofts).

I have the 2021 T300 and I ordered them 2* up so they can be bent unless mine were made at 2 up.
