Titleist Adapter Screw difference

  1. Hi all, just wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar. I’ve recently bought a new shaft online to replace my current. I’m gaming a TSR3. The difference I have in my adapters is the thread of the screw and distance between threads and thus not being able to get the new screw through the hole in the driver head. Is this common? The screw with the new shafts seem to match the same size of the GT fairway wood and mini driver I have.

    Thanks

When changing shafts, I’ve always kept the same screw in the head to screw into the new shaft.

You didn’t mention if the shafts were supplied from Titleist. To note, third party shaft suppliers rely on non-Titleist shaft tip adapters. There are different adapters for fairways and driver shafts (as well as hybrid shaft adapters). These adapters void the Titleist 1 year warranty.
  3. I have a TS driver with original shaft and screw along with a TSI and a GT. I can swap all shafts and heads interchangeably, I’m assuming that the screw and or adapter is for a titleist head or at least an original titleist head. I would search for a local titleist speciality shop near by and have them check the space on everything if needed. Hope this helps!

This adapter is an aftermarket adapter. The threads are not the same.
If you forced to tighten the screw you could break in adapter.

The solution is to change the screw with the one that fit your adapter or to change adapter to fit the screw.
Change the screw is the easiest and faster solution.
