Finally got back to the Team Titleist Regional Fitting Centre and wanted to share how the day went.
This one started with a bit of history. My last visit was for irons and a retrofit on an older driver, but this time around I went in specifically wanting to upgrade the driver, especially with the GT series dropping in price. Felt like the right time to properly dial something in from the ground up.
As usual, there were a few surprises. Biggest one was ending up in a heavier shaft than I ever thought I’d need. I’ve always assumed lighter was the play for me, but once we got into it, the heavier setup gave me way more stability, better control, and noticeably tighter dispersion.
While I was there, I figured I’d also try a few fairway woods, just to see… and that’s how I ended up fit into a 4-wood. Never carried one before, but the launch, flight, and gapping just made sense. One of those accidental discoveries that ends up being a no-brainer.
At the end of the session, I got the usual 6-pack of Pro V1s, but then Tom completely surprised me by handing me a bag tag with my name on it. Totally unexpected, and honestly a really cool touch that made the whole experience even better.
Huge thanks to Tom for taking the time and walking through everything properly. Days like this are a good reminder of why getting fit — and doing it right — matters.
Can’t wait to get everything out on the course
