It was Mothers day, I was missing my my Mom, my best friend. A crisp, cool beautiful day with the brightest blue sky, the trees budding so lovely and the birds singing happily around us. I'm getting ready to tee off 4th in the group on hole 7. Brenda had kindly told us it was a 141 yard shot and as I'm getting ready to tee off, Laura says “Okay Diana, show us a hole in one”!!!  The wind was at us so I hit my shot using my 3 wood that is set to perform as a 5 wood. I hit a beauty up in the air heading towards the pin, it hits the green and starts rolling toward the hole, I said to myself, this could be a great putt for birdie then my yellow Titleist disappears. I look at my group, Laura Leonard, Pat Blachford, and Brenda Kenefick. We scream simultaneously, hugging each other in a circle, and kept screaming and jumping around and around.....so exciting!!!!!!  Then we think, what if its hiding just behind the pin, we walk up and its nestled beautifully inside the hole. This first one is for my Mamma Rose.
