One 24 July 2026, the hottest day on record in the UK, I teed up in the shadow of a tree. It was the 7th par 3 at Hurlston Hall in Lancashire. The pin was 149 yards on the front of the green. Between me and the pin was a very old Oak tree that likes to make its presence known. But not that day. As I hit the ball I knew it was a good connection. As the ball cleared the tree it dropped softly and three bounces later followed by a 10 foot roll, resulted in the ball falling into the cup. What a great feeling. Before I realised what had occurred, the group on the next tee started to celebrate. I joined in with my playing partner, and boy, it was an amazing feeling. This was the first time I had used a Velocity on this hole, what a great decision. Woop woo……thanks Titleist…
