What are the Titleist balls women are using on tour? And what ball is most popular with amateur women?

The statistics show a pretty even split on the LPGA Tour between the ProV1 and the ProV1x, much like all the tours. That indicates ball selection is not, and should not be gender specific. It should be based on the ball flight you most desire and your preferred feel when hitting shots. Everyone should try to do a ball fitting, or at least use the on-line assessment and then take a sleeve of each out to play and see which one fills most of your needs. The best ball is the one that gives you the most confidence. Enjoy!

Pretty much at every serious competition level, the V and the X predominate, even across all brands. Male or female. I don’t know if there is marketing on all levels of amateurs.

Throwing my biased personal observations, women playing with color coordinated clubs and bags will trend to include pastel colored balls. Volvik sponsors on the female circuits but even their clients tend not go to pastels. Any person serious in their game should play a pro level urethane ball, and choose either by fitting or trial and error, find the ball that makes it easiest to get in the hole. To note, the 2 women at the TT Ryder Cup played X and V.

Softer feeling balls tend to not perform as well as tour quality balls. All lower compression balls will be a percentage distance shorter. At lower swing speeds the distance is not as severe and maybe hard to distinguish if ball striking is not ideal. Many options to choose from and Titleist offers TruFeel and Tour Soft in that category.
